Description: Pooja, an orphan by birth is facing a crisis. Problems with her husband Inder snowball throughout the movie. Eventually, Pooja learns to be independent and free. Inder Malhotra, a fashionable film-maker, is married to Pooja when he starts an affair with film star, Kavita. Pooja leaves him and experiences the social insecurities of a single working woman. Her dilemmas are highlighted by the parallel story of her cleaning lady who, abandoned by her husband, kills him and is arrested. Kavita, who suffers from guilt, eventually succumbs to schizophrenia and leaves Inder.
