Description: Emile Habibi was a political leader, a member of Knesset for the Israeli Communist Party, and an outstanding figure in modern Arabic literature. In the last weeks of his life, he set off on an introspective journey into his past and his own self. This film traces the inner conflicts posed by the duality that composed his life: He was a man of literature and a politician; he was an Israeli Arab, who remained loyal to his own people, the Palestinians. He had a passion for the city of Haifa, where he was born, and for its sun and sea, which offered refuge from the political turmoil that beset him. Presented from his own perspective, these diverse elements sketch a portrait of Emile Habibi, the man.
