Lively narration and music accompany film sequences of people engaged in the rituals and realities of daily existence - at work, at play, in the synagogue and in school. Vilna’s famous landmarks - the Strashun Library, Shnipesker cemetery, YIVO Institute - are among the film’s highlights. In 1938 and 1939, Shaul and Yitzhak Goskind of the Warsaw-based production company Sekto Films produced six short travelogs about urban Jewish communities in Poland.
